The Junior Chamber International (JCI) 2026 Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) Award is officially underway, with nominations open to celebrate young changemakers, leaders and professionals aged 18–40 who are creating significant impact in Malaysia.
JCI Lead Tropicana announced the programme at the 2026 JCI TOYM Area Central press conference in Kuala Lumpur on April 4, 2026 at Kunkwan International Mandarin Training Center in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur.
Under the theme “One Nation, One Vision,” this prestigious program invites public nominations for individuals from all races, backgrounds and professions who have demonstrated exceptional achievements, leadership, integrity and outstanding contributions across various fields, including business, education, social impact, innovation and community service.
The press conference served as an important platform to initiate the nomination process, and promote the JCI TOYM 2026 programme by encouraging outstanding young leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals across Malaysia to step forward and be recognised for their achievements and contributions to society.
Organized by organizing chairman Marcus Choo, together with Rice Sow, the 2026 TOYM organising chairperson, and Calvinn Tay, the 2026 JCI Lead Tropicana local president, the event gathered distinguished leaders, honourees and members of the media to champion youth excellence and nation-building.
“JCI Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) is not just an award, but a powerful inspirational platform that motivates the younger generation to take initiative, innovate and step forward into leadership roles,” said Marcus Choo.
The event was attended by JCI Malaysia national executive vice president Meagann Yap, who represented JCI Malaysia national president, JCI Senator Vincent Leng.
A key highlight of the event was the inspiring panel sharing session featuring four past TOYM and TOYP (Ten Outstanding Young Persons) Award recipients, including Kent Ng, 2025 JCI TOYP honoree; Kevin Khoo, 2025 TOYM honoree; Liu Cheng Hua, 2024 TOYM honoree; and Prof Juan Joon Ching, 2020 TOYM honoree.
Through their personal journeys and stories of leadership, innovation, and impact, the panelists inspired aspiring nominees and the braider public to strive for excellence and create meaningful change.
Nominations for the 2026 TOYM award are open from February 1 to May 31, 2026.
Winners are selected by expert judging panel and presented with their awards at the 2026 JCI TOYM awards ceremony scheduled for September 19, 2026 at Sheraton Johor Bahru.
The successful hosting of the 2026 Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) Area Central press conference at the Kunkwan International Mandarin Training Center highlights the center’s role as a key venue partner in empowering youth leadership and celebrating national excellence.
