I like that Ain lǎoshī always entertains my questions outside class hours, even on her day off, and responds with great explanations. For homework, I interviewed Chinese friends in Mandarin, and I also understand more while watching Chinese dramas. I feel proud of myself, doing something meaningful as I’m retired. Initially, I didn’t know what to expect, and thought online classrooms might feel quiet, but thanks to friendly Ika lǎoshī, we quickly opened up. The teaching pace was just right, and we had so much fun in the bargaining role-play. Even when I forgot a line, I could improvise, and Ika lǎoshī was patient and supportive.
