Taking the HSK exam and doing role-playing as buyer and seller were some of the most memorable experiences, along with meeting new friends. What impressed me most during my Mandarin class with Ika Laoshi were her well-paced lessons, step-by-step guidance, and patience in teaching. I love the way Agnes Laoshi explains the lessons, everything is easy to understand. I managed to count from 1 to 10 in Chinese and memorized it. Since I meet a lot of Chinese speakers at work, learning Mandarin has become really important for me. I love the class and hope to become fluent in both conversation and writing. Initially, I didn’t know what to expect, and thought online classrooms might feel quiet, but thanks to friendly Ika lǎoshī, we quickly opened up. I really enjoyed the systematic learning with Ain Laoshi’s clear teaching methods. The role-playing activities, like acting as a seller, made learning fun and practical. Supportive lǎoshī . Fatimah lǎoshī is always there to answer my questions, and both she and Angel Yeeling are super supportive, correcting me whenever needed. I really enjoy Gōngkè time and the role-playing exercises, they help me remember things easily. I can now understand simple questions, and although I’m still at an early stage, learning Mandarin helps me start understanding my clients and other Mandarin speakers. It is challenging, but with the support of laoshimen and classmates, I’m proud that I can construct simple sentences now. Learning with Minqi Laoshi since Level A has been such a fun journey! She is very friendly and engaging throughout the class, and even outside class, she supports any questions we have about the Mandarin language. One of my proudest moments was writing a full sentence in Pinyin with accurate tones. The role-playing sessions were entertaining and funny, especially when some of us brought props to act out the scenarios. I’m now able to understand general conversations in daily life, which has boosted my confidence as I love learning languages.
