My Mandarin class with Ika lǎoshī is super fun and lively, she makes every lesson something to look forward to! She is friendly and always encourages us to speak up, even when we make mistakes, which makes learning feel easy. My most interesting memory was doing a role-play as buyers and sellers at the end of class; everyone, including Ika lǎoshī, had a great time. Learning Mandarin has helped me understand simple Chinese characters and conversations, and speak more with my Chinese friends. It’s been fun, exciting, and rewarding, and I feel proud of my progress. Thank you so much, Ika lǎoshī, for your patience, encouragement, and friendly guidance—you’ve made every lesson interesting and interactive, and given me the confidence to keep practicing and improving. I’ll truly miss your class, but I hope to continue applying everything you’ve taught me in the future!

Agnes Laoshi was very enthusiastic and always gave students opportunities to speak, gently correcting us in a soft and easy tone. She makes sure everyone understands the meaning and never teaches too fast. One memorable moment was learning the word “nǚ’ér” (daughter). She patiently corrected me because saying it wrong would change the meaning completely! We also tried singing the Rasa Sayang song using numbers, which was hilarious since we were out of tune, but thankfully we got it right in the end. I’m able to understand simple Mandarin conversations when speakers talk slowly, which is amazing for me as a CIC level student since I rarely get to speak Mandarin every day. I’m proud of my progress, now I can relate some words I learned while watching dramas, even if I sometimes struggle with tones. Agnes Laoshi, xie xie nin for everything from start to finish. You always give students the chance to try, stay patient, and keep the class motivated, even when the energy is low at first. Thanks to you, the class always ends up lively and fun!

Agnes lǎoshī’s pronunciation is very clear, and she helped us pronounce Mandarin words properly. I always found Mandarin pronunciation complex and difficult, but she made it easier and fun. I loved singing during class, which also helped us pronounce words faster. I can now understand basic conversations and a few lines from Mandarin TV dramas, and I hope to visit my friend in Beijing someday. Learning Mandarin under Agnes lǎoshī has been much easier, and I feel lucky to have her as my teacher. Laoshi, you are the best I’ve had so far, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavours!

Learning Mandarin is fun, and making funny mistakes, like how to pronounce pinyin. Made the class enjoyable. I’m now able to talk a little with my mainland colleague, which is exciting. I hope I can continue learning Mandarin with you in Level A, Fatimah lǎoshī.

The Mandarin class with Izzati Laoshi provides a very fun and supportive learning environment, with people from different backgrounds and ages encouraging me to practice the language. One of the most interesting experiences was learning how to have proper conversations in Mandarin and actually practicing them in real-life situations. I’m slowly starting to understand conversations and gain confidence to reply and join in. Learning Mandarin has been challenging but fun, and I’m happy with my progress. The class is always interactive, with lots of ways to engage students, and the lessons are always related to real-life situations, which makes learning enjoyable.

Agnes Laoshi really recognizes students’ improvement in pronunciation and values our effort in class. She is very supportive, makes the lessons interactive, and always encourages participation. I enjoyed taking part in dialogues during class, and she patiently corrected our pronunciation, especially with Hanyu Pinyin, which helped me realize that Mandarin is a very straightforward language. After learning with her, I’m able to understand basic conversations in Mandarin, even though I’m not fluent yet. It has boosted my confidence, especially when interacting with Chinese customers, and I’ve even started watching Mandarin movies to improve my listening and pronunciation. Learning Mandarin has been so fun, especially seeing my progress in daily life. It motivates me to keep learning and not give up. Thank you, Agnes Laoshi, for making the class interesting and enjoyable. I hope one day I can chat with you fluently in Mandarin!

The wow factor of the Mandarin class is that it can be done online and based on our own timing, so we don’t have to go to the centre and can choose a schedule that works for us. One of my most interesting experiences was taking the HSK 1 for the first time. Even with the mock exam during class, experiencing the real exam in Mandarin was quite memorable. I’m now able to understand some words in sentences spoken by my friends and connect the dots even if I only understand a few words, which motivates me to keep learning harder. I’m proud and grateful for the opportunity to learn from experienced teachers and apply my skills outside class, like understanding Chinese dramas. Xiexie laoshimen for teaching me from CIC level to Level D, and a special thank you to Bunga Laoshi! With your hard work, I’ve been able to learn Chinese on my own and deepen my understanding of the language.

One wow factor of my Mandarin class is how interactive and fun the lessons are, with games, role plays, and real-life scenarios. I also love how we explore Chinese culture, which makes learning more exciting and meaningful. My most interesting memory was gaining new friends through Mandarin and feeling really proud when I wrote my own script, spoke confidently, and created a video using what I learned. Learning Mandarin has helped me understand the language better in daily situations, like watching shows and talking with friends, and it’s also helpful when communicating with my neighbour who always encourages me. Overall, learning Mandarin gives me a great feeling as I become more confident each day and look forward to speaking more fluently. Thank you so much to my Lǎoshī Ain for always helping, encouraging, and believing in me. I truly appreciate your support.

I really enjoyed my Mandarin classes with Bunga Laoshi because of the interactive and fun learning environment. She was very kind, supportive, and made efforts to accommodate all her students, definitely the wow factors for me. My most interesting memories were the practical assignments and written assessments, which challenged me to speak more and break the ice with classmates, even making me a bit nervous during exams. Learning Mandarin has improved my memory and helped me understand Chinese conversations better. I feel it’s fun to learn a new language, and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made at my own pace. Thank you so much, Bunga Laoshi, for teaching, supporting, and making the classes enjoyable and fun. I hope to continue improving in the next levels until I can speak Mandarin fluently!

The comprehension and understanding I receive in class with Agnes Laoshi goes deeper than usual. The pacing of the lectures is just right, on schedule without delays. I’ve learned that people from different walks of life share the same goal, even with age differences, we all want to improve together. I’m now able to understand Mandarin speakers better, which allows me to connect with their world as they connect with mine. It’s like solving a puzzle I’m eager to understand, take apart, improve, and integrate into my life. Having multiple languages is a key to growth, whether in my career or relationships, and it truly makes me a better person. Agnes Laoshi is simply adorable and teaches at the perfect pace. I hope she can teach more students so they too can benefit from these classes. Her guidance also helps promote empathy and understanding across cultures. Live well, Agnes Laoshi!

I love how fun she is when teaching, and how she explains things so well with great enthusiasm. One of my most memorable experiences was taking the HSK exam for the first time and feeling so nervous, but everyone was very welcoming and never made fun of mistakes. Learning Mandarin has helped me gain confidence to speak with my Chinese friends, and I believe it will also help me get better job opportunities in the future. Although it can be challenging and tough, it’s all worth it, and the journey of learning Mandarin has been truly spectacular. You’re my favourite Mandarin Kunkwan laoshi, Bunga Laoshi, and I’ll really miss having classes with you. I hope God blesses you in many ways.

I like that Ain lǎoshī always entertains my questions outside class hours, even on her day off, and responds with great explanations. For homework, I interviewed Chinese friends in Mandarin, and I also understand more while watching Chinese dramas. I feel proud of myself, doing something meaningful as I’m retired. I like the way Ain lǎoshī communicates with students—she explains until we understand. Keep it up, laoshi. Love you!
