Since 2014, Kunkwan has developed a structured learning environment designed specifically for individuals who do not have a Mandarin-speaking background.

Providing a Structured Pathway Towards HSK Certification
A key component of Kunkwan’s learning system is its structured pathway towards the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK), an internationally recognised Mandarin proficiency assessment.
Kunkwan became an official HSK test centre in 2015, providing learners with a clear progression from foundational communication skills towards formal language certification. A Milestone Moment of Acknowledgement
The ASIA Records certificate was officially presented on 19 July 2026 at Kingston Hotel 10 by iBilik, Bukit Jalil, marking the formal acknowledgement of Kunkwan’s continental achievement.
The recognition was received on stage by Mr Kent Ng Kun Kwan, Founder of Kunkwan; Mr Frederick Foo, Group Chief Operating Officer of Kunkwan; and the Kunkwan Leadership Team, representing the vision and collective commitment behind the organisation’s continued advancement of accessible Mandarin education.
The presentation was witnessed by Khairy Jamaluddin, Former Minister of Malaysia, alongside Ms Dayah Md Noor; Ms Siti Aishah, Chief Revenue Officer and Chief People Officer; Mr Kent Ng Kun Kwan, Founder of Kunkwan; Mr Frederick Foo, Group Chief Operating Officer; and Mr Jay Hoi, Chief Capital Officer.
